National Training Symposium - November 2-4, 2007
Kempenfelt Centre, Barrie, Ontario
As announced at our recent Annual Meeting, CECA launched the National Electrical Trade Council (NETCO) in partnership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
NETCO’s mandate is to promote apprenticeship, continuous learning for journeypersons and national standards for the electrical industry in Canada.
NETCO’s 2007 National Training Symposium is being held at the Kempenfelt Centre in Barrie, Ontario on Nov. 2-4, 2007. A suite of practical training resources developed by NETCO over the past year will be launched accordingly.
Contractors are urged to consider registering as many delegates as possible. I t will serve the information needs of all those who make a contribution to your organization’s training interests.
NETCO embodies a model of Labour-Management cooperation. The IBEW is promoting the Symposium among Local Unions across Canada and NETCO has contacted JACs directly.
A Preliminary Program and updates will soon be available on NETCO’s Web site ( www.ceca.org/netco) which is under construction.
These are challenging times for the electrical industry and NETCO holds tremendous potential to move the electrical industry’s training agenda forward and doing so will positively impact progress in other areas, such as lobbying.
Don't miss this valuable opportunity. |
