NETCO is proud to announce that it achieved an important milestone towards sustainable funding. In April 2008 the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers-Construction Council of Ontario (IBEW-CCO), which represents 13 IBEW Local Unions and the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario, made a joint contribution to NETCO through the Joint Electrical Promotion Plan (JEPP). |

NETCO is partnering with the Construction Sector Council to develop an industry-specific numeracy assessment tool. A talented Steering Committee met for the first time in March 2008. A beta version of the numeracy assessment is being pilot tested by five industry partners starting in the Fall of 2008. (See CSC-NETCO Numeracy Project for more details). |

NETCO is researching and developing position papers on issues of importance to the electrical industry to drive its advocacy strategy. NETCO is activating its emergent role as a national voice of influence in government affairs and public policy. The position papers will be available in the Fall of 2008 and posted on NETCO’s Web site. |
